Holland, Mich., July 21, 2010 — LeanLogistics, a global leader in innovative SaaS transportation technology and supply chain services, announced today the release of On-Demand TMS® version 10.2.0, a series of enhancements to the company’s flagship transportation management system used by leading shippers, carriers, 3PLs, suppliers and transportation trading partners.
The new release builds upon the industry leading SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Transportation Management Solution (TMS), first launched in 2000 and now the transportation management system of choice by more than 51,000 transportation professionals. Because of the single-instance, multi-tenant nature of SaaS technology, the new version is immediately and simultaneously available to all users in the LeanLogistics ‘Transportation Network (cloud)’.
The latest release is part of the long-term strategy of providing clients with the web-based tools to leverage the On-Demand TMS® data and global connectivity, while improving performance and reducing transportation costs.
Key features of the new release include greater flexibility in reporting, language translation and globalization, updated LTL load rate uploads, as well as allowing shippers to create and print a Straight Bill of Lading and a Master Bill of Lading.
Additionally, the release includes an enhanced distance calculation engine for improved ease of use across a wider community and can be assigned and parameters selected by division.
